Last night saw the culmination of the London Long Copy challenge organised by CBS Outdoor. The competition encourages agencies and clients to experiment with the long copy format and dangles £125k of free media space on the underground as a carrot. We entered on behalf of Royal Parks Foundation, a client we’ve been working with throughout 2010. Earlier this week the team from CBS told us that our ad was going up at Oxford Circus tube as part of a showcase for the event. (Bakerloo Line - platform 3 in case you’re interested!)
This was great news for the RPF, as they don’t have a big budget for media and even this two week showcase was an important piece of exposure. Sadly we didn’t quite pick up the win but being one of eight shortlisted ads from nearly 500 entries was something we’re very proud of.
