We’re very excited to be starting work for a new charity client, The Royal Parks Foundation. The Royal Parks are actually run by the department for culture, media and sport. The Foundation is a connected but independent charity that focuses on promoting the use of the parks and encouraging health and wellbeing among Londoners.
RPF already does some fantastic stuff. They organise an annual half marathon, the route of which takes 16,000 runners through three parks and past some of London’s most famous landmarks. They also run the critically acclaimed Deckchair Dreams project. A number of top artists were commissioned to produce a deckchair design and work from the likes of Tracey Emin and Damien Hirst has been gracing the parks ever since. In a superbly creative move, once the chairs reached their sell-by date the fabric was stripped off and turned into totes!
We’re going to be helping them to make the most of these kind of activities, building out a sustainable social media footprint and then working together to develop new programmes moving forward.
Sitting in an office 400 yards from Regent’s Park we’re very lucky (especially Nelly, My Agency's dog in residence) to have this fantastic public space at our disposal. We’re going to make sure many more Londoners realise what they’ve got on the doorstep.
