Cyber Monday has become the term of choice for the busiest on line shopping day of the year. The United States has just had theirs. It follows ‘Black Friday” the first shopping day after Thanksgiving. The figures, given the state of the world, were pretty amazing. Online sales were up 22% over 2010 to reach $1.25 billion according to internet tracking firm comScore. It was the biggest online spending day in history. Not surprisingly there were recording numbers of buyers and a significant increase in average transaction value. Based on historical on line sales patterns Cyber Monday in the UK is due to fall on Monday 5th December. Blott, our stationery business, is doing its little bit to help the UK create its own Cyber Monday record. Blott is offering all fanzine readers 10% off everything on line between now and Christmas and free delivery on orders over £15. Discount code ‘christmas’. Come on Britain you can do it.
